Rhinoplasty, better known as a “nose job,” is used to alter the shape of the nose and is the most commonly performed cosmetic surgery procedure. Rhinoplasty can be used to:

During the surgery, the nose is separated from its supportive cartilage and bone, which is then reshaped into the desired appearance. After this step is finished, the skin of the nose is put back into place over the new structure. Stents will be used to ensure that the nose keeps its new shape. Discomfort, bruising, and swelling are likely, but this will fade quickly. In just a few weeks, evidence of the surgery will not be noticeable.
