Do you wear clothing just to cover up your thighs because you have cellulite or sagging skin? Board-certified plastic surgeon Adam J. Rubinstein, M.D., F.A.C.S., is proud to offer thigh lift procedures to the residents of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and South Florida at his Aventura office.
What is a Thigh Lift?
A thigh lift is a surgical procedure that targets excess fat and skin in the thighs. Additionally, it can reduce the circumference of the thighs and eliminate cellulite. The result of a thigh lift is a smoother, smaller appearance to the thigh region.
What is the Thigh Lift Procedure Like?
The thigh lift is a surgical procedure typically done on an outpatient basis. However, some patients may have the surgery performed in a hospital and/or be required to stay in the hospital overnight for observation. For the procedure itself, general anesthesia or local anesthesia with numbing can be used on the patient. The patient will not feel any pain during the procedure. During the thigh lift procedure, Dr. Rubinstein will make an incision along the thigh and remove excess fat and skin. Sometimes, Dr. Rubinstein may recommend using liposuction to remove additional fat from the area. Next, he will suture the incision site. The incision sites will be dressed with bandages. The entire procedure typically takes no longer than four hours and results are visible immediately.
What Can I Expect Following a Thigh Lift Procedure?
Typically, patients return home a few hours following the surgery. You should arrange alternative transportation to and from the procedure. Patients may need extra help in the household for a few days following the procedure. We recommend that patients resume walking as soon as possible to help improve circulation. Dr. Rubinstein will prescribe medication necessary to manage any discomfort for each patient. You will wear support garments following the thigh lift procedure. Most people return to work after two weeks and resume all normal activity within a month.
Who is a Strong Candidate for a Thigh Lift?
Individuals that are not significantly overweight, but are displeased with their thighs are the ideal candidates for a thigh lift. Often, the substantial amount of sagging skin on the thighs can be caused by major weight gain, these individuals can especially benefit from the thigh lift procedure.
How Much Does a Thigh Lift Cost in Miami, FL?
While the thigh lift procedure can greatly benefit a variety of individuals, it is not often a necessary medical procedure. Because of this, it is unlikely insurance benefits will cover any of the cost for a thigh lift procedure. To make payment more reasonable for everyone, Dr. Rubinstein developed a financing
program for all of his patients. Schedule a consultation for a thigh lift today. If you live in Miami, Fort Lauderdale or South Florida, contact Dr. Rubinstein at his Aventura office.
